having red over the AGM presentation 2017 notes I found this very interesting.
1)DTM had carried out extensive rock chip sampling on the the EL 5315 mitta mitta /eskdale section (northern section - spodumene)
exspense to company = minimal
2) have identified key areas for further testing. 2nd phase of testing is through CSMAT which is a form of xray as best way to describe it. this is good for up to 2000 meters underground.
exspense to company = marginal
3) once results are anelised a more accurate pin point approach can be achieved for drilling.
exspense to company (drilling) = High
this 3 stage approach has potentionaly reduced area from 40 sq km down to a few hundred sq/m in different areas whilst maximizing the use of funds in the bank (ie capital raising)
some people may think process has been slow but the way I look at it, the more DTM can do themselves prior to a JV the stronger there hand will be at the negotiations table. For what's being achieved so far with what there got (ie funds) have done extremely well.
and talk about a gift that keeps on giving, the spodumene at the northern end has an element called tantalum which you could loosely call a by product of lithium. to put this in prospective a lithium mine that has 200 ppm of tantalum is deemed viable, the blue jacket dyke had 1172 ppm tantalum combined with the 1.57 % Li.
But as pointed out by the MD James Chirnside these were purely rock grab samples, phase two but more so phase 3 (drilling) will determine if xmas 2018 will be carrots or caviar.
