In my world H if somebody is getting paid to be a director they should be acting on behalf of the company. Acquiring assets personally and then vending them into a company doesn't sit at all well with me.
An unneccesary middle man.
"I'm acting on behalf of OI... ahem....I would like to acquire these assets by PTY LTD"
The ethics of it all appear murky.
That said not sure who owns current Gulf assets. 7 months is a long time to have been sitting on a proposal so presumably it's not exactly a convincing proposal?
At least the current board are attempting to do SOMETHING. It also goes to show that what I've been saying about OIP's concentional assets is true - they're not worth diddly squat. OIP shareholders got shafted when the CSG rights were handed back to ESG leaving little value behind.
