I'm also a happy new owner of 12,500 IGO shares. I have been for this deal almost from the git go, not just because my JML stake went up so well, but also because I believe the combined company will create much more value down the road. My brother in law is a long term broker covering mining companies and made several very good points.
Larger market cap = cheaper funding.
Larger market cap = higher index rating
Larger cash flow
Better mix of product to balance different commodity prices.
He rates JML mining team as first rate, IGO as good. JML exploration team as good, IGO as first rate.
So, his math is that
JML = 1 excellent + 1 good
IGO = 1 good + 1 excellent
= Excellent + Excellent = long term buy
