re: Ann: Letter to Shareholders - Update on L...I guess the GSA being confidential really scares me also into the feeling that it was WCL who wanted it confidential, so they dont have to disclose a lower than normal market price
I wouldn't worry about that. I can't think of a single deal linked to this LNG industry where the price has been disclosed officially. When it HAS been disclosed, it's been due to leaks to the media.
It's standard for both WCL and GLNG to be keeping this confidential for competitive advantage. In WCL's case the main benefit is to prevent potential predators from valuing the deal effectively.
HOWEVER... the key word in RN's letter is 'could' - "could generate more than $60 million."
This tells me the $8+ figure is the high side case in both oil price and forex. The actual likely price will be lower.
I think the $6.50ish figure is probably more in the ballpark for a long-term price. But if oil does go up, and the AUD comes down, then $8 is definitely possible, at least in the short term.
But you are right, ultimately we are not going to know what price they are getting until each quarterly comes out.
