Hopefully the costs order gets sheeted home to the various elites who sought to hide behind a community action group to avoid an adverse costs order. The costs of this case for CWN, Lendlease and the NSW Government ran into the millions.
Their case failed on every count and there is a question as to whether or not it should have been started in the first place.
Allowing people to start frivolous lawsuits to pursue social agendas under the guise of 'community interest' shouldn't be rewarded by allowing 'free option' outcome lawsuit(I.e. Real costs for the respondent if they win or lose but the applicant can walk away cost free if they lose and have their costs paid if they win).
Maybe the costs order could allow for some new social housing in Millers Point - sell the homes out from under the virtue signallers in Millers Point and make them available as community housing while getting rid of the Sirius building?
