I believe there is some issues on Vodafone part which is what FRX support team said. Probably Vodafone headquarters mistook Australia is in Europe (this is not an uncommon thing).
Optus and Telstra network are awesome.
They said they will look into the high ping issue. If they fixed this, there would not be a speed problem. For now, I can even use it to post stuffs on Facebook.
