From this article and others I think the app has yet to be "monetised" but will be very shortly. With some free to play games and apps they have in-app purchases. The first step is getting the user base and then they work on making it so that people are happy to make micro transactions which (with a large user base) add up to a revenue stream over time.

With this current app they are building the app functionality and the user base through marketing campaigns and then introducing ways for users to spend money within the app. All in my opinion.
