Nzuri has a comprehensive corporate governance framework to deliver responsible and ethical copper-cobalt production: ● Anti-corruption and anti-bribery policies ● No child labour ● No payments or benefits to conflict groups ● Best practice health and safety policies ● Best practice environmental protection policies ● Focus on delivering benefits to the communities in which we operate
Aside from all the potential with mining I'm glad to see these kinds of statements. I remember a year ago when I had just bought into NZC and over the next couple of days there was news coverage about child labour in the DRC. No specific companies mentioned from what I saw but on googling I didn't see NZC mentioned. Back then it did make me think twice, but I held on thinking not only about the potential but also hoping stuff like child labour is stamped out for their sake. Someone said a while ago something like what do we fix by abandoning the DRC, which I thought was wise. Would be good to see news coverage about positive efforts like these.
