GRX should just make BDI an offer for the tenements , thats what they really want.
When Goodrich bought KDC they said they would do aggressive exploration to find more diamonds to extend the life of the mine.
Thats a little bit difficult to do when BDI control the tenements surroundig the KDC mine.
BDI was created to protect KDC from a hostile takeover, the thinking was that if KDC didn't have the tenements surrounding KDC that would mean noone would want to takeover KDC because the mine life was so short .
KDC would still control the exploration tenements through BDI as the major shareholder, however GEM came along and very agressively took KDC .
Things turned awful for them because of the GFC and now KDC is just a substantial holder of BDI .
GRX should do a farm in arrangement on the BDI tenements surrounding the KDC mine. That way everyone wins , honestly I dont think they have much of a choice,my guess is that this recent announcement is them taking the negotiations to the next level.
GRX have a fantastic share price based upon the aquisition of KDC, the only problem for them is that BDI controls the tenements that they need to make the aquisition viable, when BDI were digging up the ancient river bed looking for the source of the fancy yellow diamonds they were self funded from what they recovered.
