You are missing the point. I'm not arguing about whether or not there is a "low season" or if there is a "Chinese New Year". I'm stating that they use these events to try and dress up their numbers when the occurrence of the events are in-fact immaterial to the reporting of the numbers as the Chinese are their only market and these "events" are reoccurring and foreseen.
Will they be rolling out these "despite" statements every March and June quarters forever going forward then? Where does it stop?
Just state the numbers as they are and measure them against what they forecast for and if there is an event that occurs that is unforeseen then yes, they can say "despite" but using this excuse on an event/period that is expected (and has always occurred) is just management trying to dress up their numbers artificially IMO.
Having said all that. They'll need to show much greater growth next quarter to justify current MC IMO.
Naive in small startup businesses I may be, but when it comes to ASX management speak and bulltish I most definitely am not.
