Some of the directors have put a considerable amount of time into progressing activities to the point where they now effecively control the company. Your point that they are 'careful with their funds' is how they would probably see the world. There is a web heading: "Board of Directors | My Company - Global Petroleum."
GBP is supposed to be an exploration company but desk top evaluations with the occasional mandatory and less than informative reports do not meet my criteria for such an activity. For a O&G company to be successful you need energetic management, a good asset(s) and money. GBP has plenty of money but seemingly little else.
I have been a share holder for nearly 5 years and in hindsight I should have sold about 4 years ago. History is a wonderful teacher.
I will give the company until the end of the year to redeem itself, if not then I will hit the eject button. As I am clearly frustrated with the lack of GBP performance, please DYOR.
