Ya, that's a huge committment in the speculative market, no wonder you've locked down some profits. The thing is, you have to remain comfortable with your positions, or you will lose sleep , take the money enrich your life, get healthy, travel to Iceland etc, make life changing decisions for you and your family. Buy experiences that will warm your soul. Both my partner and I have had life threatening experiences, we now value different things.
I think now that you only play in the market while you are having fun, If it's not fun, I don't do it.
Last week was okay, I liquidated a couple of positions, pulled back the number of companys I've been watching . Sometimes you have to interrogate yourself a bit, check the bullshit barometer , some of the stocks I held , when scrutinised looked like puffs of wind, some of their directors pan out to be common corporate criminals, if you research them thoroughly enough. I'm an old investigator as you know, some of these guys need locking up.
Have a look at the director for TB8, owns stilettos brothel in Sydney, hangs out with known criminals. I mean is this a guy that's ultimately going to provide shareholder satisfaction?. All these Chinese IPOs are seriously tarnished.
So if last weeks Red Sea was a precursor for worst trouble to come in 2018, maybe second half, it's time to start locking down sustainable choices, Im busy at the moment, looking for bullet proofed stock , don't even know which ones yet, long term, possibly LON once the placement has settled down, sticking with RDG as that thesis is defendable. Although it's another dairy product to China story, at least all the directors are Australian, if you consider Tassie part of Australia, love the high powered investors coming onboard, I reckon they make something's of Maggie Beer ice cream around and Paris creek organic creek products . Set and forget for me.
Short term, BOT still looks good in my book, won't be a straight line though. Still researching Zinc, PNX is almost back to what I paid at .014, with announcements due sometime. KSN , I like for a gold play at .026, ex director of Aurelia apparently. Take care Bee, and have fun.
