I never , ever, worry about CGT. Let's face it bee, no one should ever invest to make a loss, not real people anyway.
Since I posted last, I have done some research on the the background of the SDX IPO. You may recall that the Ex Macquarie boss was touted to be an investor, maybe he was, maybe he was seed, but I can't see him on the Top 20 register, perhaps he was our dumper.
This leaves us with David Neate, one of the biggest shareholder. I understand that David Neate was one of the original directors of Sienna, but stood down when Cummings came on board. David Neate's press is pretty low key, but you will find reference to his company Fastlane , in Victorian courtrooms.
What a guy from the Victorian rag trade , Mr Neate, would know about cancer research is anyone's guess, but clearly Mr Cummings has at least some form in the Pharma industry, see his previous association with ASX listed ADO and MLA, which as we speak, is being placed into receivership.
One of the risks , which I now appreciate about entrepreneurial cancer research companies , is the Management are continually tapping the government for handouts, and when you take the hand out money out of the revenue statement, talk of a viable business looks pretty lame.
Sorry Bee, I'm still unconvinced, I won't be increasing my stake in SDX at this stage. Something in the back of my mind is sending me a different vibe than the positive one your getting. Let's wish ourselves luck anyway.
