No the jump was due to the onboarding of Ross Smith, a cannabis guru who is ultra-connected globally. You witnessed a good example of 'personality investing' yesterday - I for one look for opportunities to back Ross and I'm betting many others do too. He's made a lot of people a lot of money and he knows his sheet. He'll drag the JHL SP up in no time, I have no doubt. I also suspect there are more surprises to come in relation to Ross but I'll leave it at that for now.
On the topic of vending machines imo the $500k order for 5 machines is almost irrelevant - the NZ/AUS markets will be minimal for a while but this guy's hooked up globally and I have no doubt he'll make inroads in Canada and elsewhere, so it'd be short-sighted for anyone to focus on local markets and the viability of vending machines within them.
