Has anyone tried spec'ing up a trip and comparing Jayride's prices with just going to the services directly? It's not rocket science to google up the underlying providers. JAY seems to be reselling services from other companies at a 20-50% markup. Hard to tell how useful that is, especially given that you're now having to deal through an intermediary.
I don't know about other markets but in the market with US trips that I've taken in the past JAY is just reselling SuperShuttle (and, from the reviews, occasionally Uber/Lyft) and whatever else is operating out of whichever airport you go to. So it's hard to see how the scenario that JAY will "clean up the airport limo industry" will pan out (a tiny Australian startup with 3 quarters of runway left will give marching orders to Transdev and Uber).
