What the company is saying is that they took a gaskick which had 10 times more pressure then the background pressure they've had thus far (in coalseam language more like a 'gas bubble' than what we see in conventional onshore wells). At that time the flowrate increased due to the spike in pressure. This also brought with it sandflow which then blocked the pores. That's what the situtation was at Klebb.
As part of completion one runs sandscreen's across the horizontal section of the well the last bit is referred to as the 'toe end'. These screens r set to prevent debri flow inside the well bore. One does the wellbore cleanup using the coil tube unit, used N2 as an underbalance fluid to flow gas back to surface alongwith the ESP's. Just routine surface monitoring to get gas flwback to the flareline.
