Good morning Lantana,
It does seem at little confusing at first read however makes total sense when broken down.
"Strike Energy Limited (Strike – ASX:STX) has commenced its workover and clean out operations at Jaws.
--Management should have said they have completed it's clean out instead of commenced it's work over.--
1) They removed the two submersible pumps.
2) With coiled tubing successfullyworked through an obstruction.
--- The tubing penetrated the blockage and cleared a path through.
3) The clean out operationswere then successful in reaching the ‘toe’ of the horizontal.
--- Coil tubing was run the full length of the horizontal during cleanup
4) Confirmed a flow path through thewell bore.
--- No obstruction remaining in the well bore. A successful result in clean out.
5) Nitrogen pumping was conducted but was unable to establish returns to surface (This is the point that confuses some)
---The Nitrogen pumping is used to push any debris in a well bore to the surface. If there is no debris remaining there is nothing to push out. There may be some particles remaining but located or lodged in a position that the gas can't move.
6) The currentrestart plan is to manage any remaining debris in the well through careful and controlled operation of theESPs.
--- When they re started the pumps and debris that has been left behind (if any) will be removed through water pumping manipulation.
7) Strike expects to restart the pumping and depressurisation operations within the next week.
--- After the pumps are back in place they will be re-started and water pumping will continue returning the Jaws wells to their critical desorption pressure and re initiating gas flows
8)Surface equipment and operations methodologies have been reviewed post the New Year’s Day gas eventin order for the company to be prepared for the conditions previously encountered.
--- They now know what the gas desorption pressure is and will be ready for it next time.
Hope this helps.
