No doubt some of the top 20 where net sellers - you don’t have a 55% SP drop in a day without insto selling . For insto the question isn’t whether they think it’s worth 60 or 70c , once they take the view they aren’t holding they will dump relentlessly unti they are out as in the end the difference between 45 and 55 May be .1% of their funds performance. This kind of selling is where opportunities sometimes materialize . Take BAL , BLK , AGI , Flight Centre , TWE and ALL a few years back where all at some stage sold down heavily by institutions causing big price falls . Not suggesting the stock is going back to 2 dollars or even 1 any time soon, but at 45c a 30-35% return is not to onerous imo
