Re the cyclone that has delayed AVQ 1st ore shipment. Cyclone Trevor has not caused any delay to AVQ shipping plans. Trevor formed as a tropical low off the Milne Bay region off SSW tip of New Guinea. This System then traveled SW then swung WSW towards Cape York coast and only then became a Cat 1 tropical system on Qld landfall approach. Where and when the low (not a cyclone) formed in New Guinea the weather was ‘pretty damn shitty for 3 days with rain and winds’ while it remained there. The Milne Bay area is over 1200 kms from the Solomon Islds and would have had no presence in any way in the SI. How do I know this. Have a close friend who has been and still is on a private charter in that immediate area. They were off Alatuo (New Guinea) when the low formed. They are and have been in same waters weeks before the low formed and they head back to Nth Qld home base this coming Sunday with predicted weather conditions as ‘fine’. The vessels they are on are two game boats of approx 50’ each and a 138’ mother ship. How AVQ can use this low weather system as a plausible reason is blatantly misleading and ridiculous. RM has continually hurt AVQ by putting out claims, deadlines and statements etc that have never been met. He must belief that the public are stupid and ill-informed. They are not. The public can appreciate and understand honesty. The current falling share price supports this. His supposed good news is falling on tired and deaf ears. Tragic as right now AVQ NEEDS MARKET SUPPORT and at a time when it may well deserve it but is not believable.
