Also - a very sad few weeks regarding the Solomon Islands . Acknowledge the earnest work of many Islanders , who have sought to educate and skill themselves , are focused and work in their communities to collectively aim SI into a better future .
Disgusted with the petty ignorance , and associated greed suggested by today’s announced supposed outcomes . (Behind the scenes ?? )
Imo - the men who gave these decisions , are not longer in their positions of responsibilities in SI ??
Meanwhile - LOs , the minority involved , turn backs on building a unique and inclusive longterm future . They see what they see .
I hope we don’t ever go back with LOs who simply don’t want to put their shoulders to the wheel together with axiom . Got say goodluck to all .
The SI needs to get up onto its feet- now .

10 Government Ministers are under investigations ongoing - 2 ministers been arrested for misappropriation Govt budgetary funds allocated to their departments.
All offences are now criminal offences. The local MP for Kolosori- also been arrested for misappropriation of Govt funds or ill- gotten gained monies . These are very serious happenings !)
You can only work with people who want to work together. When in doubt - people ‘Don’t ‘ .
I do not want to believe, that at heart , the actual general Solomon Islander people , especially the upcoming generation - cannot want better .
The Solomons needs far better - from their Government, and leaders collectively .
The people who had been charged with good governance, former committee members even , perhaps MMB got a bit too drunk on their position and this perhaps
Better the country is without those who do not regard Service ( paid positions at that) as a Privilege - meant to be an important responsibility to be a good guardian for the countrymen who you represent .
Whatever the outcome with Kolosori - no country needs petty personal vested- interest people in charge .
If everyone not committed- in the end no chance .
All of this fighting and angst is to do with the known valuable potential resources. Still a lot of hardwork to bring into value for the SI .
These decisions announced - so inexplicably , that suddenly been made?
How did this come to be in the very dying weeks of former leadership groups and departments? Ans: is likely NOT good .

Huge disappointment for now , sad end to year for loyal and long- patient shareholders - can’t do anything except leave it to the Solomon Islanders overseeing moving forwards , and the relevant authorities if been skullduggery ( read - bribes ? involved )

IMO - not wanting to comment on global scenarios also (which am doing ) -I follow global markets closely .
*China - exists on massive printed monies, as a country in headlong rush forwards- they can’t afford to “blink” - barging forwards, but with huge liabilities .
They have an enormous number of industrial workers , factory workers who work long hours - who predominant in percentage of their enormous population.
* This industrial , cheap factory goods focus will not continue indefinitely for China.
People are cheap and individually not so important such a huge population country .
The Chinese aspire to grow the country as a technology leader and this is where they pour their main investment monies into - to be the top dog country, ‘Technology’ leading . Pollution is ongoing large issue with factory and processing output .
They are not however fiscally responsible , central policy decide the areas, and timeframe to pour their created money into .
Fact is - the rest of the world is catching up in capabilities in manufacturing and industry . ( Chinese not so crucial , though is the most significant producer of world goods .)
India will outgrow China’s population in the next decade- easily !
*China can’t stay as the main producer of the cheapest goods to the world market * .
They have been preying on disadvantaged economies for raw material . ‘Chinese lollies ‘ whoever said it - I think is a fair and good analogy.
Promise ‘the world ‘ ~ yet doesn’t turn out to be so nice for all.., in the end.
Automation and robotics advances ,are readily available to all countries now .
China will also automate . Their present workers will not be ongoing required . They need convert to a ‘service ‘ based , their own population -serving economy .
Education is the single main thing for advancement- everywhere in the world and for everyone . With basic food , sanitation, roof over heads , basic health - of course . Education of the next generation , and up- skilling and information for adults is most critical for a good , equitable future for a country .
The Solomon Islands especially also !
Australia giving hugely with education .
Have attended the graduation of a number of local SI and Sth Pacific nations graduates in higher University education in the last weeks .
China in other countries, have preyed on emerging and poor nations - their reputation precedes them . They primarily recruit people - to do what they require .
Private companies are not so beholden to public standards in emerging nations .
Chinese interests frequently have ignored local standards and true duty of care.
China’s abilities to dictate are possibly decreasing.
The population at home they strictly control , may be that individuals at home becoming less able be directed into poor living situations .
China and companies are so in debt - they take all their money home . They build though on their terms - then results in a big indebtedness.
China needs money at home , for China and Chinese projects .
My opinion - they tend more to take what they want , using their capabilities , rather than really becoming a co- partner and building the communities locally and in the country regions where they acquire resources .
Just got to be aware . Are quite different beliefs and foundation as a country .
Overall— their in- country price has generally ended up being very difficult to repay . ( they - say ‘one thing ‘ .. Do , ‘another’ )
