I note that Mr McClure can't calculate TNT's market cap correctly. Or perhaps he doesn't know what the word means? Hint: it is $6.4M not $2.8M. He appears to have a general issue with the price discovery function of the market and subsequent volatility. Perhaps he is in the wrong business?
Small companies are risky. They also have enormous growth potential. TNT is a case in point. No one is forcing anyone to invest in these stocks. There is no guarantee of profit. What is promised is a certain level of financial disclosure, which TNT has delivered on. Investors have plenty of information with which to make decisions.
The real problem is that the ASX does not permit the trading of standardised derivatives on small cap stocks. It is therefore impossible to hedge efficiently.
