I am still here til end April. No more HC postings after I leave unless HC has improved its act. Wont know until I get there and try. I will not use VPN in China.
My China base is in Lijiang 500k NW of Kunming, capitol of Chin's minerals centre, Yunnan Pr. Lost Horizon and the legend of Shangrila originated here from Joseph Rock's Nat Geo articles in the
1920s. Paradise. Some of you have experienced it.
I have earned blood brother status with the local indiginous groups who are of Tibetan origin. Upper Yangtze country heavily mineralised inc quartz vein in shales at 6 ozs to the tonne.
Working a few ideas on local legalities. Have successfully tested the Chinese legal system so eight years' local knowledge and experience are priceless.
You need to know the Chinese mentality and what counts if you want to successfully do business here. Very few westerners get past first base cos their approach is flawed. Must be the Greek in me I guess, plus a smart Chinese wife who has reached Olympian status with her assigned project management successes.
I am toying with the idea of setting up an office on the east coast near HK to introduce Oz microcaps to keen Chinese investors who dont have such effective access to our end of the market. PGM success would have been the trigger. But the Q remains, do I really need to start something new at this stage of my life?
Had it all worked out for PGM evolution in Asia but no one seems really interested to do really interesting work here methinks.
Am surprised the major shareholders dont take a more direct hands on approach with PGM. What a vehicle for Tom Kaplan and his group of unlisted precious metals producers. We all got really excited when he took large placement chunk at 50cps for Skaergaard. I am really surprised he hasnt (yet?) come out of the woods to take charge. He was at 20 pct top holding before the dilutions.
Lets first see what direction PGM settles on. If anyone is interested they know how to contact me.
As I keep pushing, Skaergaard needs to be a different company run by a hands on commercially orientated technical team, not by economists, lawyers and accountants without the technical or political knowhow on how to max it out for us. Agree with you Pustayo. You have to be able to take it to DFS BEFORE you start dealing at the top end. Otherwise you will end up giving it away for peanuts. And thats my worry.
I am in PGM for Skaergaard.
