Hello trademig2, Good observation. I take it you are questioning whether the palaeochannel is hiding a potentially economic nickel deposit. Maybe and may be not. It is quite clear however that this palaeochannel (an accumulation of more recent material, probabbly in filling a depression or a casm in the E-W Cathedrals Belt) is covering part of this belt which hosts the prospects of Fish Hook in the east (new to me) and possibly incorporating Bullets, westwards through Cathedrals, and now Fairbridge through to Stricklands and Investigators, the palaeochannel and onto the Ida Fault. A distance in excess of 7Km. ( quite impressive length indeed), and we have seen some interesting features in all the holes drilled so far including splitting of the structures, faulting, distribution and types of mineralisation and some lithological features. I'm also sure the team has gleaned much from the chemistry of the assay results and the logging, even from the holes barren of mineralisation. So, what the palaeostructure hides will be revealed after the drilling. Remember, this really to a certain extent, is an exploratory drilling exercise. But, What really is great news is the possible correlation of the depletion of copper to nickel values that has been interpreted from east in the Cathedrals west to Investigators and as implied possibly getting closer to the source. ( Culprit probably being the Ida Fault) So yes, What is the pallaeochannel masking? We shall soon see!
The other enigma which could prove to be the elephant in the room is the Mt Alexander Belt with its Sultans Prospect (New to me) which trends NNW SSE and is parallel to the IDA Fault.
