For those who are not aware, Toby was influential in the adoption of Structural monitoring applications for Boeing aircrafts. While he has a track record for more dubious reasons with smn (just ask the smn thread), it's quite feasible his introduction of Cfoam to major OEM's in aerospace has gotten the company where it wouldn't be able to before.
