The price was driven up a lot in 2 hours on high volume, then quite a bit more volume went through around $2.01 before close.
If they had spread their buys over a couple of days, they likely could have avoided driving up the price to much, so they seem to be in a rush, or intending to buy more. It also looks to be an all time high.
EPS is projected to be up <10% this year, so the 53% SP rise in the past year is rather a lot.
