It's because you don't actually understand this story. It's so unusual it needs the scrutiny of people like me to witness it and comment on it as it unfolds to it eventual conclusion. Not to mention keeping check on the spamming of big pit photos. I'll be here at the end as well to comment once all the joy, angst and pain are done with, probably taking some stick along the way from the starry eyed crew when the pump comes.
