I'm LT on SHE for sure, but that doesn't mean I am not willing to trade it (a little) to improve my holding. Unfortunately in recent times, volumes have been too low to justify that, however IMO if you are LT on a stock (for whatever reason) it is incumbent on you to try a little light trading from time to time to try and lower your average.
After all, if you are LT, your hard earned capital is going to be tied up for some time, and not producing a regular return. So by trading a small portion of your stock, you may effectively counter the effects of CR's and dilution, which do require you stump up more capital if you participate.
And you only pay brokerage to trade your stock and if nothing else, it makes you more engaged in your investment, and provides a clearer focus for your LT position and objectives.
