It seems to me management has been like a dog ( read smart dog )...

It seems to me management has been like a dog ( read smart dog ) chasing a car ( read getting hold of world class tenements ) then catching that car , then not knowing what to do with that car and deciding giving it to bigger dogs who couldn't be bothered chasing the car would be the best option , at the expense of the fleas ( upstanding folk ) who had put their money on the supposedly smart dog reaping the rewards of catching the car . If the smart dog ever decides to dig another hole ( read mine ) to bury more of our bones I think run for the hills .
