One detail in Stamler's presentaion: He tells that " MPTP mouse model •MPTP is a potent inhibitor of complex 1 of the mitochondrial electron transport chain " So PBT434 is a mitochondrion drug also according Stamler because PBT434 works in this model. This is important also when thinking if niacin could help in different PD models. IMO very unlikely in MPTP model, it could perhaps compensate only NAD+ production but not if complex I does not work ( only my opinion here on the sofa).
