I may be naive in understanding the business case for this acquisition but after reading through the announcement, I think the case is strong. One can argue that there may be country related differences including culture/local pressures for maintaining certain number of workforce in the business. Nevertheless, the differences in efficiencies is quite drastic in Slide #15 of this announcements. The trouble for me is that despite knowing that this particular acquisition makes sense, I have no idea what the valuation of the current business is. I will try putting some of my learned knowledge from this forum to calculate the EV/EBIDTA ratios as I have been told that the company itself is pretty good one.
