Yeah I'm actually surprised that Watermark hasn't been a bigger drag on overall performance. I will never hold their funds directly again - I took a fair haircut on ALF although thankfully I sold out a lot higher than where it's got to now - but I'm okay with them being a part of a fund of funds. Especially without the fees, as you said! I can't see any argument for holding any of the constituent funds directly now - it makes me wonder if being part of FGG/FGX is not such a plus for the managers. But as long as they're happy to do it, that's great.
