Afterpay - $415k fixed plus incentives (total 536k) - note this was for 9 months. They had another CFO for a 3 months with total remuneration for the period 43k fixed but plus a sign on incentive of $120k options
MYOB - $500k fixed plus incentives (total $800k)
Bingo Industries CFO - $370k plus incentives (total $617k)
Wisetech - $625k fixed plus incentives (total $1.1 million)

CAT is of course a fraction of the size of the above, which are all $billion plus (or were recently).

The shares give some 'alignment', but it's not really an incentive as they aren't truly at risk, like an option might be.

The guy is temporary so perhaps commands higher pay. But - I don't think it's so amazing this guy has graciously accepted 50% of his rem via stock. He's living handsomely off $25k alone, which is close to what his peers at companies 20x the size of CAT are being paid (and more importantly are actually cash flow positive).
And sorry it's closer to $26k ffs and the value of shares granted is $27.5k.

'In the event the grant of options is not approved at the 2019 AGM Mr. Orlando will be paid the greater of $27,500for each month served or the difference between the proposed exercise price of the options and the CAT closingshare price on the AGM date.'
