I personally think the loss was in the method of drilling , by using RC drilling the sample was diluted likely in the anulis between the drill bit and inner stem .
That can not occur in sonic drilling as like DD drilling in Sonic drilling a core is taken .
Esh seems to think gold particles possibly were trapped at riffles in the cyclone which is located topside

Given they could pan the samples on the spot it seems strange they did not pick up the lower grades coming out of the RC drilling earlier be nice to get some twinned holes of DD drilling or sonic drilling next to the RC holes and see what the difference in grade is .

I think they might have known that there were problems with the RC earlier, but given the time constraints involved they couldn't do much about it.

I think drilling Mace is a losing proposition and EXU would be better off just doing some bulk sampling along the resources. If it is all coarse gold in clay then it should be a simple process.
