But the gold is nuggety if is in RC or DD core and they would fire assay the RC shavings the same way as they would fire assay DD core, and the DD core averaged a higher grade .
So providing the population of DD core and RC shavings is sufficient then the undercall for the RC shavings would be occurring prior to assaying , so it would be due to an issue with the RC drilling not with the assay method .
Could the RC drilling be centrifuging the higher mass gold particles( compared to the likely Silica (around SG 2.6) and Aluminium oxides) to the periphery of the mud and causing it to not be drawn up the drill stem ?
Surprised they even considered using RC drilling given the softness of the clay .
Given the shellow ore depth be interesting to get some excavator bucket bulk samples and test through a gravity plant , would only need to drop down one or two benches to get them
