Then why are you hold on sentiment. The CEO doesn't need the money or the aggravation, and looks a bit old to be doing a new fight. He needs the challenge or he will retire and die.
I know how he feels, I have created computer software that was 20 years ahead of its time, restructured multi hundred million dollar businesses, created internet media companies that crushed old media, and I am now studying Biomedical research subjects at a top university to find a cure for autoimmune diseases because I can. My mother thought doing international arts reviewing on the internet was crazy after I went back to study and topped out a Diploma in Multimedia. My business partner and I have done over 1400 reviews on 3 continents and in retirement the publicists still throw tickets at us because we are interesting. I earned my VIP status, and I still converse with opera singers who thank us for helping to launch their careers internationally. It took a decade before my mother thought it was a great deal, my dad got it straight away.
I was too busy studying Biochemistry, genetics, immunology etc to track the market or the rise of lithium stocks that have exploded. I should have guessed as I am A big fan of Elon Musk, but my shares were parked in green and blue chip stocks. The lithium stocks are now too over priced but they are starting to be sold off. I will buy some next year after they become fair value.
I have a lithium iron phosphate battery arriving from China in a week that will keep my electric Vespa like bike going for the next 6 to 10 years.
Most people don't learn how to think at school. I was just talking to my elderly mother and pointing that out. She agreed that my niece learnt nothing about analysis in high school, and now she is running a restaurant, and working as a trainee stock agent for another company, foregoing university which she hated. My electric bike cost $26 a year in electricity, some replacement due to wear and tear, my new battery is $970 but will last from 6 to 10 years. I rent and travel to University in 12 minutes on an electric Vespa like bike. Public transport would cost more than 3 times as much, a car closer to $7oo per week including all the expenses. If anything I am underestimating the the costs of a car/Toorak Tractor. I can afford to live in the inner city, yet my lecturers live 2 hours from work. Smart scientists, not smart about finances.
