I am staggered so few seem able to connect the dots. Wind power isn't about being clean and green and ethical, though all of these are handy byproducts and can be valued for themselves.
Wind is about generating electricity with nil fuel cost - pulling energy out of the sky. They thrash fossil fuel generators.
The only business I can think of with similar cheap inputs is an op shop reselling donated goods.
Don't get me wrong, building windfarms is hard. They are a blot on the landscape. In Australia, blessed with abundant low value land, finding useful locations on our very long east states grid is do-able.
Wind is centralised in few rational hands where solar is ubiquitous with low barriers to entry.
