HXG does ultra high purity natural graphite, and also some potential synthetic graphite too. IMO there is going to be a shortage of high purity graphite over the next decade, because the projects to get these high purity pilot plants (HZR, HXG, and a few others) up and running have about a 4 year lead time. And for natural graphite, you need to secure the natural graphite first before you commence the project (HXG have McIntosh mine in Pilbara).

 

I think MIN just like having their fingers in a lot of pies, knowing exactly where the battery market is heading.

 

On that note, Fed government just released a report saying they need to invest quickly in capturing a bigger slice of the battery pie ($200bpa) so there is likely to be significant investment in further processing and manufacturing of battery metals.

 

MIN could end up manufacturing batteries in WA, with lithium and graphite projects up and running within a few years.
