i always ask, if i were going to invest today, with where we stand today when reconsidering an average position.
now sometimes things change for the better, sometimes for the worse.
I have learnt to ask that question, so that i dont average down for the sake of it, there must be a path to the sp climbing.
ie, if you made a mistake with capital to begin with, was it a failed venture? did the stock fail on merritts ? or was a good stock, good fundamentals simply overvalued.
it sometimes, is about simply entering at the right end of the stick. the pointy end, not the dull blunt end.
Oppies at .001 seem pretty sharp end of the stick to me.
(and never exceed over capitalising one stock, dont put all your eggs in one basket, no matter how good it looks)
