tks for the lesson Plough. Don't poo poo it with the benefit of hindsight. It was serious enough for the MD to feel the need to visit. As it turned out it was a storm in a teacup. I thought it would be an electrical fault which could lead to a more serious fire. Thats what we were taught in a copper mine I worked in. We were taught that any fire underground is serious or more precisely can have serious consequences. They never said remote controlled loader in the orig announcement. Not familiar with these. I am a dinosaur used to manually operated altas copco's with huge thick wheels which catch fire - well get hot - from the friction. Took the whole day to get the bloody ann out. Too long for a storm in a tea cup. I was starting to get jumpy when the SP fell by 5% . - but came back.
