Anyway @lockitt it was the Brissy trams I used to jump off and not always at a tram stop, they had to slow right down at sharp corners, I can still 'do' it today 'in my head' hold on till the last minute with your right hand and land running on your left foot - could not do it jumping off the other side of the tram!! perhaps just as well.
