Leslie could have gotten up at ESMO and told the symposium that what looked very promising a few months ago just before the start of the 1b trial turned out to be simply awful, it was going splendidly but then suddenly and unexpectedly everything turned sour and nothing was gained after all. But she didn't. If that was the case, we would have found out sooner because of the chosen end point parameters, one of which was to abandon the study if the tide turned unfavorably. So the presentation at ESMO was always going to be neutral at worst, so the fact that generally there was a significant improvement in an albeit small cohort in a way was to be expected. I think that these results were widely anticipated and thus the market has sort of factored that in already, hence inertia in the SP.
If Leslie got up and said, "Hey guess what? We started with 12 terminally ill patients and they're all cured!", all hell would have broken out with the SP by now, just as would have been the case were the opposite scenario to have occurred. Don't laugh, it has happened before.
But anybody who has been around IMU for long enough will understand, we are part of a company so diligent and careful in its preparation and execution nobody's sober expectations are likely to tumble. Not with the current Team Imugene.
All of this takes money and backing of course, but it would be terribly unwise to think that Leslie was seeing $$$$$ when she said a while that she was looking at beautiful figures! No, to her and everybody involved, it is all about that elusive cure for cancer and easing the pain and suffering associated. Financial reward really is secondary and we will all see in due course how 'right' this company really is, if for nothing more than its diligence and adherence to the strict scientific method, no cutting corners and no rubbery figures.
So no surprises here really and if my $'s weren't tied up elsewhere in the market I'd be more than happy to put more in to keep this noble effort going.
Hats off to IMU, everything's right on track, which is just what we need.
Best wishes to all holders, today really is a good day!
