A great result.  Hopefully the zircon producers have learned their lesson and won't strangle their customers and wreak the market.

The potential involvement of IFC in Sierra Rutile is a curious development.  ILU doesn't need a capital partner.  Maybe to satisfy a political need. No doubt the Marxists are active. (I have no direct knowledge)

I commented earlier about Sierra Leone's desperate need for development and investment in its people and infrastructure.  The strikes are likely a reflection of this.  ILU cant take this nation-building on by itself - even though SR is the largest business in the country. Yes, be intimately involved as an economic development partner and help the government with UN institutions and good economic advice.   

I am disappointed ILU describes the strikes as 'unlawful'.  I think this unhelpful and more a condemnation of the law than of the workers.
