If 15% shorted from 586M on issue then, approx 88M shorts are in play today.
Average daily trading volume is about 5M, so it would take many days and weeks (at average volumes) for shorts to significantly cover.
IMHO this is still set up for a short covering rally, where daily volumes will go much higher and 10's of millions of shorts will be covered.
