The target audience at a mining conference is a little different otherwise why would the company want to attend and only preach to the converted?

If I sat in on that presentation as a potential investor I would have left thinking about the negative outlook on future iron ore prices, the lack of support offered to the mining industry by the South Australian Government and wondering why the MD can't work out why the share price isn't moving when he can't deliver a positive message on behalf of the company.

Then again, if I was a wealthy grazier in the Port Lincoln area I probably would be waiting for him out the back.
