Am not a fan of the Acquire links... Although my main comfort is bidders statement is clear that AH had no involvement.
Big contrast today: CAJ announces completion of another (decent sized) successful acquisition (which tends to wipe out suggestions radiologists don’t want to join CAJ) and IDX announces that they were worried about the precise wording of a document...
The implication of the latest announcements is that IDX have failed to engage. CAJ seems to have called it out yesterday, and IDX didn’t even try to argue that today. If the Acquire thing was the real concern, they could have initiated conversations about what the Board/Exec of the merged entity would look like. But instead they appear to have focused on arguing about technicalities - mind boggling when there’s real value to shareholders on the table.
Even if they thought the bidders statement needed fixing, that shouldn’t have stopped them engaging at the same time... Whole thing appears very disappointing.
