OK I have check all announcements on my trading platform and on the ASX announcement platform and there has only ever been one substantial holder notice lodged by Huayou, their original becoming a substantial holder notice announced to ASX on 17/8/2017 which showed they had a relevant interest in 11.2% of the ordinary shares of the company.

If AVZ's announcement yesterday is correct in saying that Huayou's shareholding in AVZ is 9.49%, then Huayou must lodge a change in substantial holding notice under section 671B (2) of the Corporations Act 2001.

Maybe some of you don't care about the laws that have been desgined to provide market visibilty and protect our interests as investors but I certainly do and if I don't see a change in substantial holder notice filed to ASX by tomorrow I will write to Huayou and make them aware of the AVZ annoucement. If Huayou don't subsequently act to file a change in substantial holder notice after I've made them aware of AVZ's announcement, I will then refer the matter to the compliance branch of ASIC as a matter of urgency, as either AVZ has provided inaccurate information to the market yesterday in their announcement (ie Hauyou aren't filing a change in substantial shareholder notice because they don't agree with AVZ's estimate of their relevant interest) or Huayou will be flouting the law. As investors we need to be properly and continously informed according to law. Anyone who doesn't care is foolishly giving away the rights that the law has granted us, to their own detriment. Hopefully we see a notice filed very soon reflecting the actual facts, ie that Huayou's relevant interest has fallen since the filing of their last substantial holder notice. Esh
