The $800k salary for the CEO (former FD) is a kick in the teeth for shareholders. For example, Boart Longyear, a much bigger global business with $750m sales, has just upgraded it's FD to CEO on a package of $600k.
Hills admit its high - the best they can say is that it's lower than the previous Telstra big shot. Great !!
Not a good look for a company trying to cut its cloth.
