Have no doubts, when a business that relies on the goodwill of their bankers to continue operations starts to flounder, then it is their bankers that effectively control the company.
With the deteriorating bad debt position of the banks their primary consideration will be to protect their exposure to HIL.
If the Board of HIL cannot convince their bankers that their facilities (loans) are safe then I can easily see their bankers withdrawing the facilities and requiring immediate repayment. Then..............??
My comments may seem a bit dramatic, but then again they only continue the theme I have pursued for the last 12 months or so.
