Yes, they are indeed interpreting the silver/gold as epithermal in origin sourced from the porphyry.
Glenlyle is interpreted to be epithermal-style mineralisation and positioned above a deeper porphyry copper – gold target". Similar to Stavely Minerals (SVY) Thursday’s Gossan deposit.
The below graphic is from SVY's Nov.2018 AGM preso. They call those veins D-Veins which are late-stage sulphide-rich veins. "They should be a ‘yellow brick road’ down to the source porphyry."
SVY's D-veins are coming as copper and gold. (NML's Glenlyle comes as Silver and gold). Grades are low but the intersections are broad.
SVY says; "These broad intercepts are NOT from the potassic core of this porphyry – we have yet to drill into that zone. When we do, we expect better copper grades and MUCH better gold grades."
SVY is now trying to find (targeting) the core of the porphyry; trying to find the M veins which are associated with the main copper-gold mineralised event, and also early porphyry A veins. (you can see M and A veins at the early stage part of the graphic below).
The message from SVY is clear, and they keep drilling.
They are amongst the largest gold deposits in the world
We are confident we will find it
We can’t tell you what the size and grade will be until we get some holes into it
