@rivermore, your are right by saying "We have a surface footprint several times larger than SGM now and we should have a substantial initial shallow mine resource outlined within a couple of months."
As surface footprint, Adventure Lode (1.3km) is much bigger than Magdala deposit (0.9km) as shown on the graphic below.
You said "SGM (Stawell Gold Mine) isn’t one continuous deposit, it’s a series of high grade lodes interspersed by sterile and low grade zones". NML explained this by the graphics below as well.
The high grade shallow results of Resolution Lode and Adventure Lode should repeat when the deep drilling is started.
Here is the Magdala Mine footprint and NML's several prospect at the south. Resolution Lode and Adventure Lode have nearly same footprint with Magdala Mine.
Plus, Langi Logan (east) at the south with very good results (more assay results due atm). And the Langi Logan west is waiting to be drilled like Hermitage, Grange, Shiraz and Westmere targets.
